Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia, located ~ 190 kilometers southeast of Tallinn. It was first mentioned in written sources back in the 1030s. Unfortunately, wars and other calamities repeatedly destroyed the old city, but each time, like a phoenix, it rose from the ashes again and again.
Today it is a compact, comfortable to live in, youthful city. In the city centre there are several parks, museums and many cafes in the pedestrian alley - suitable for various tastes.
Walking in the Old Town of Tartu we will visit the main places of interest. We will explore the history and present day of Tartu City, trying to get to know the versatile Spirit of the city.
